Welcome to Dr Emma Hurley

Dr Hurley is South African by birth and lived her early years in Johannesburg. She moved to Cape Town to attend University, and graduated from the University of Cape Town with an MB ChB.

She began practicing ophthalmology in 1993 and received a fellowship in ophthalmology from the Colleges of medicine of South Africa.

She worked at Groote Schuur as a general ophthalmologist, and headed the vitreoretinal unit there.

She then entered into full time private practice and offers general ophthalmology including cataract and refractive surgery, glaucoma management, corneal diseases, squints and vitreoretinal work.

Her practice is situated in Parklands, a suburb on the west coast of Cape Town.
